OCT - Katharine was thrilled to spend her October portraying Brigitte in The Rocky Balboa Picture Show. She had a blast spending her Halloween month at Cornservatory in this goofy and smartly written fusion of the Rocky series and RBPS.
JUN - Katharine completed Level 2 of The Green Room Studio’s On Camera acting class. She hopes to take Level 3 and Advanced TV/Film Scene Study in 2019.
MAY - Katharine just wrapped performances for a new musical TOAST! The Food Competition Musical. She portrayed southern housewife, Betty Peterson and had a blast performing at Second City's Blackout Cabaret with some of the funniest people she's ever had the pleasure of knowing. APR - Katharine worked as a puppeteer on a pilot filmed at the end of April.
FEB - Productions of Liberators: An American musical (part of the 4th Annual Chicago Musical Theatre Fesitval at the Greenhouse Theatre Center) are underway! Katharine is portraying Mother Rothman and Ruth Stevens as well as several other ensemble roles with 19 other Chicago actors.
JAN - Katharine will be playing southern housewife Betty Peterson in Toast: The Food Competition Musical! This new musical will be performed at Second City's Blackout Cabaret Fridays April 14-May 4th!
JAN - Katharine has a wonderful time collaboration with friend, Mark Davis, on Into that Good Night. This was her 3rd time portraying a nurse, and her first time portraying one in the present. Previously she played a nurse in the Vietnam War (Fire Giant) and in a parallel universe tied linked in the 1940s (Nurse Call). She is now the proud owner of a set of purple scrubs.
APR - The production of No Exit which Katharine directed was highly successful and was met with audience and critical acclaim (New England Theatre Geek & Boston Arts Diary). She is so grateful to her cast; her amazing AD, Joe Juknievich; and to Jamie & Teri for giving her this opportunity.
JUL - Katharine relocated to the Windy City!
AUG - Katharine made her Chicago acting debuts as Grandma D in "Puppet Playdate with Grandma D" and the New Modern Theatre's Networking Cabaret (VIDEOS HERE). She was happy to continue to work on her puppeteer and TYA skills and sing a few songs over at the Pride Arts Center.
MAR - Love, Loss, and What I Wore, produced by Generic Theatre, was an exciting experience full of opportunities to develop different characters.
APR - Katharine became the newest addition to Exiled Theatre's creative team; serving as Artistic Associate and Marketing Manager.
MAY - Regan in Cape Ann Shakespeare Troupe's production of King Lear was a blast to play! More can be found in the blog.
JUN - Katharine participated in the 9th annual Danvers Idol competition. Although she did not make it to the final 3, she enjoyed performing "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons in the new DHS Auditorium and reminiscing about the many shows she participated in during high school
JUN/JUL - It was one of Katharine's 2016 goals this to take a voice over course to learn more about the business and what goes into it. Voice Over: 101 with Candy O'Terry at Boston Casting was a blast and she is thrilled to walk away with a demo reel.
NOV - Katharine was overjoyed to play Little Red Riding Hood in South Shore Theatre Works' production of Into the Woods. She enjoyed performing with this new company full of terrific energy and talented performers.
JAN - Katharine made her Firehouse Arts Center premiere in Raghead by Tom Coash directed by Jannie Kitchen
MAR - Katharine was cast in Exiled Theatre's first production Strange Days: five tales about dark paths, odd mercies, and birthday cake. These plays written by James Wilkinson and directed by Teri Incampo were produced at the Green Street Studios in Cambridge. Katharine played the parts of Driver in Drive, Nurse in Nurse Call, and Blu in Strange.
APR - Jannie Kitchen cast Katharine in Solitude, Silence which will be part of the Boston Theatre Marathon. This piece has a similar theme to Raghead, focusing on cultural misunderstandings and prejudice post 9/11.
MAY - Hemingway's Wife, a new musical by Erin Quinlan and directed by Gary Locke, made it's world premiere at the Player's Ring in Portsmouth.
JUL - Katharine was thrilled to be a part of Patrick Dorow Productions (PDP) Summer Cabaret Series. She performed the solo of "On My Own" in the Les Mis medley and a solo of Autumn Leaves in the style of Eva Cassidy.
OCT - Back with her PDP family, Katharine participated in Heart and Music, a Cabaret which was a celebration and 2016 season reveal.
